My wife and I stopped in Amsterdam for a few hours on our flight to Rome (from Houston). We took the train into Amsterdam, and St. Nicolaas was our first stop of interest. It's a beautiful church with many intricate details and art.

To get this shot, I first focused and set the exposure, and then I placed the camera on the floor and used the timer. I didn't have a tripod with me (as I realized most places wouldn't allow them) and utilized all hard surfaces I could when shooting.

I've taken two trips to The Netherlands, and the photos in this portfolio are from both trips.
Trip 1 was taken in September/October of 2003, and Trip 2 was taken in April 2004. I've visited
Amsterdam, Leiden, The Hague, and Delft.
