| Location: | Vatican City | About this photo:
This famous staircase is in the museums of the Vatican. My wife and I exited the museums using these stairs. The geometric shape is quite interesting. The stairs form a helix. Actually, there are two sets that "interlace", and form a double helix (just like DNA!). Anway, this is just another feature from our Rome & Florence trip that has been photographed thousands of times before. But, this one is mine and it was taken by me! I guess that makes it special. I only wish I had a wider lens at the time. Notice the guy in the blue coat at the very bottom? He was taking a picture looking up. I wonder what he got? Perhaps there's a photo in some album at this person's house of the staircase looking up, and at the very top is some other guy taking a photo looking down - ME. |
