About this photo:
I tried my best to keep an eye out for wildlife in Big Bend. The area is home to a lot of interesting animals, particularly bears and mountain lions. Unfortunately, I didn't see much of anything.
When I happened upon this little guy, I was thrilled and immediately hit the ground and started shooting. I know it's not terribly exciting, but the insect did face off aggressively to me. Most things would have scurried off, I imagine.
The close focusing capabilities (0.9 ft minimum) of the lens allowed me to get fairly close.
